Poland coach Pawel Janas is looking forward to seeing how his side fare in Saturday's friendly against Croatia, a team he believes will be among the best at this summer's World Cup.

Poland will travel to the match at Wolfsburg's Volkswagen Arena in desperate need of a confidence booster following their 2-1 home loss to Colombia on a Tuesday - a game which saw visiting goalkeeper Luis Martinez score direct from a punt downfield.

Victory over Croatia will be no easy matter though, with Janas admitting: 'In my view, we will be crossing swords with one of the best 10 teams taking part in the World Cup finals.'

Poland were jeered by their supporters during the defeat to Colombia, but Janas is hoping his team will get a better reception at the Volkswagen Arena.

'I very much look forward to the support we will be getting from the many Polish fans in Germany,' he added.
