Fortune could seek fame at Parkhead

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell has confirmed Quinton Fortune is at Parkhead to discuss a move to the Scottish giants.

The club officially welcomed pre-contract January signing Gary Caldwell to the club this morning.

But Lawwell revealed they are looking to also land the South African international midfielder, 29, who was released by Manchester United this summer.

He said: "We will have a chat with him later on today.

"These things take a while but Quinton was happy to come up here and have a chat and see how it goes."

Having finished last season at Easter Road, former Hibernian skipper Caldwell described his move as a dream.

The 24-year-old added: "All my life I have supported them and to play for a team I supported is a dream come true.

"I am really looking forward to it. I want to win trophies and become a big part of the club's history.

"I waited a long time having signed in January and I couldn't wait to get here but I had a job at Hibs to do."
