Sweden midfielder Freddie Ljungberg is hoping to get a run-out in Friday's international friendly against Chile as he looks to return to full fitness.

The Arsenal player returned to training on Wednesday after spending two weeks on the sidelines resting a foot injury.

Sweden will meet Chile at the Rasunda Stadion in Stockholm in their last test before flying to Germany.

"The foot is okay," said Ljungberg. "Now I am looking forward to playing for Sweden, first on Friday and then in the World Cup.

"I think 14 days' rest after Arsenal's tough schedule has been the right medicine for my foot but only going to the gym has been boring.

"I like to be in the group, together with my team-mates on the ground and now I am happy to be here," he added.

With regards to Sweden's chances at the World Cup, Ljungberg believes his side have what it takes to reach the quarter-finals at least.

"We must go through the group and then to earn a quarter-final against a nation from the Germany group looks possible. Then it will be tougher."

In the opening phase, Sweden will meet England, Paraguay and Trinidad and Tobago.
