Tottenham Hotspur's crucial final Barclays Premiership match of the season at West Ham United will go ahead despite several Spurs players suffering from food poisoning, the club have confirmed.

The fixture had been in doubt and Premier League officials visited Tottenham's team hotel to assess the situation this morning.

But a statement from Tottenham barely 90 minutes before kick-off said: 'The club can confirm that today's match against West Ham at Upton Park will be played as scheduled at 3.00pm.'
