Republic of Ireland manager Steve Staunton could well be without his captain Robbie Keane for the upcoming friendly against Chile after the Spurs striker picked up an ankle injury in the win over Bolton last weekend.
Staunton says that he is awaiting word from Spurs on the extent of the injury, but did confirm that Stephen Ireland and Andy O'Brien were out.
The Irish manager also confirmed that Newcastle's Stephen Carr would be returning to international duty after announcing his retirement last year.
