Robbie Keane believes Tottenham must repeat the determination and endeavour they demonstrated against Manchester United when they face rivals Arsenal on Saturday.
The outcome of the game could go a long way to deciding who finishes in fourth place in the Barclays Premiership and claim the coveted place in the Champions League next season.
Defeat for Spurs at Highbury will give Arsene Wenger's side the momentum to go on and finish above their north London rivals.
But Keane was buoyed by Tottenham's narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester United on Easter Monday.
Dutch coach Martin Jol claimed the opening 20 minutes were as good as anything Spurs had produced this season with United reeling from their opening onslaught.
But United responded with a goal on the break courtesy of Wayne Rooney who then doubled their advantage just after the half-hour.
Jermaine Jenas pulled a goal back after the re-start and Spurs had United on the back foot as they searched in vain to level the scores.
"It certainly was a strong performance and we have to take a little bit of heart from it to take into Saturday's game," said Keane. "We definitely deserved to get something out of the game and - who knows? - if we had scored the first goal we might have won it.
"Sometimes you need a bit of luck. On Monday we had something like four or five chances in the space of 10 minutes and it wasn't to be. But we did play well.
"Man United are a class side and, if you give them opportunities, they are going to take them. From our corner they broke on us and scored then the second was a mistake. If you give teams like Man United chances they will punish you."
