The rearranged eircom League First Division fixture between Limerick FC and Kildare County has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Hogan Park.
The fixture had originally been fixed for the opening weekend of the season but was called off for similar reasons.
Hogan Park had beaten the weather on Friday night, when, despite countrywide torrential rain, it hosted the Blues’ 1-0 win over Monaghan United.
Details in relation to the second rescheduling of the fixture will be announced as soon as they are available.
Meanwhile, Limerick FC captain Pat Purcell has urged his side to be more clinical in front of goal.
On Friday last the Blues created a hatful of opportunities against Monaghan United but had to be content with a solitary Tommy Barrett strike.
He said: "We were all delighted to get our first win of the season under our belts against Monaghan and I thought we were very solid throughout the game. We created a lot of chances last Friday. But we must put teams away when we are on top as this a very competitive division and every point counts."
