FAI Cup holders Drogheda United recorded an impressive 2-1 away win over Dungannon Swifts in the Setanta Sports Cup tonight.
The eircom League outfit started brightly, and Declan O'Brien headed Drogs ahead after just eight minutes.
Midfielder Stephen Bradley added a second after 58 minutes as Paul Doolin's men asserted their advantage.
Dungannon did, however, pull one back through the quick-witted David Scullion. His free-kick from the edge of the area reduced arrears after 72 minutes.
