Drogheda United and Cork City each had a man sent off as the two sides played out a dour 0-0 draw at United Park.

Drogheda’s record of having players sent off against Cork continued, as they lost Stephen Bradley after just 13 minutes for a second booking following a foul on Neal Horgan.

Bradley, along with tem-mate Keith Fahey, had been dismissed in the recent Setanta Sports Cup match in Cork.

Cork created the best chances for much of the remainder of the game, with Denis Behan bringing a good save from Dan Connor just before the interval.

Cork’s Roy O'Donovan was given his marching orders on 90 minutes after incurring a second yellow card.
