Manchester City striker Georgios Samaras is doubtful for the match against Wigan tomorrow after suffering a knee injury in the FA Cup victory over Aston Villa.
Manager Stuart Pearce will also make late checks on captain Sylvain Distin and Joey Barton.
Distin was sidelined in midweek because of a virus while Barton has an ankle problem.
David Connolly could come into contention for a place in the Wigan squad to face Manchester City after scoring on his comeback from a hamstring injury in midweek.
The £2million striker last made a first-team appearance in January in the Carling Cup semi-final first leg victory over Arsenal.
David Thompson (knee) and Damien Francis (foot) are both being troubled by injury but are expected to be available for the City match.
