Arsenal will come face to face with their former midfielder Patrick Vieira after being paired with Juventus in the draw for the Champions League quarter-finals.

Vieira left the Gunners after nine successful years at Highbury to join the Italian champions last summer.

Arsenal reached the last eight of the competition after completing a superb aggregate victory over Real Madrid this week.

They will host Vieira and the Turin giants at Highbury on March 28 or 29 before facing the return at the Stadio delle Alpi the following week.

Should they progress they will play the winners of the match-up between Inter Milan or Ajax - who play the second leg of their last-16 tie next week – and Villarreal in the semi-finals.

In the other quarter-final ties Lyon will play AC Milan while Liverpool's conquerors Benfica will face the side who knocked out Chelsea, tournament favourites Barcelona.
