Switzerland swept a poor Scotland side aside 3-1 in their World Cup warm-up for their first victory on Scottish soil.
First half goals from Tranquillo Barnetta on 20 minutes and Daniel Gygax four minutes from the interval put the Swiss in control.
Barnetta volleyed a knee-high cross from Ricardo Cabanas past the keeper from 15 metres and Gygax headed powerfully down into the net from 10 metres.
Scotland hauled a goal back when Kenny Miller charged free on the right in the 55th to drill a magnificent low shot across substitute keeper Fabio Coltorti into the left of the net.
Cabanas, however, rattled a rising 10-metre shot into the top left hand corner to restore the two-goal gap in the 69th and leave Scotland without a win at home in an international friendly for over 10 years.
The Swiss survived an early fright after seven minutes when skipper Johann Vogel brought down Scotland captain Barry Ferguson 20 metres out on the right.
Everton's James McFadden curled a superb free-kick over the defensive wall and beyond keeper Pascal Zuberbuhler only to skim the side netting.
The Swiss hitback and went close with two efforts in quick succession. Raphael Wicky picked out Marco Streller with a teasing cross and he hooked a 15-metre volley just past the left post.
Then Arsenal's Philippe Senderos charged from the halfway line before the ball fell for Gygax who hammered a fierce low drive narrowly wide.
Five minutes later the Swiss went ahead. Cabanas whipped in a knee-high cross from the right to pick out Barnetta and he cracked a sizzling volley low past keeper Craig Gordon.
Just before halftime the away side made it 2-0. Cabanas sprang the offside trap before finding Barnetta who hoisted in a cross from the right for Gygax to power down a header into the left of the net.
Miller gave Scotland some hope but Switzerland finished the stronger, Cabanas making it 3-1 and Barnetta going close at the death.
