Team news for Manchester City v Charlton

Danny Mills and Ben Thatcher have returned to training but are still set to miss Sunday's Barclays Premiership encounter with Charlton.

Claudio Reyna (ankle) and Nedum Onuoha (knee) are both out and Stephen Jordan is suspended, while Andy Cole is hopeful of a recall after missing last week's defeat at Everton.

Squad: James, Weaver, Sommeil, Dunne, Distin, Sun Jihai, Sinclair, Barton, Musampa, Ireland, Riera, Cole, Vassell, Wright-Phillips, Sibierski, Samaras, Croft, Richards.

Charlton are set to welcome back midfielder Matt Holland for the trip to Manchester City.

Veteran defender Chris Powell also returns, after a knock sustained during last week's defeat at Tottenham ruled him out of the midweek victory over Liverpool.

Centre back Jonathan Fortune faces a fitness test on a rib injury.

Provisional squad: Myhre, Young, Hreidarsson, Powell, Ambrose, Holland, Kishishev, Smertin, Hughes, M Bent, D Bent, Andersen, Perry, Spector, Thomas, Bothroyd, El Karkouri, Bartlett, Holland, Lisbie, Euell, Fortune.
