Shamrock Rovers have been awarded a League Licence to compete in the upcoming eircom League season.
The club were informed by the eircom League that the required standards to comply with the licence criteria had been reached and that a licence had been approved.
Director Mark Lynch said: "The club are delighted to be granted the licence."
The FAI Club Licensing Committee announced earlier that 21 out of 22 league clubs have been awarded a League Licence for the upcoming season.
Longford Town have emerged as the sole eircom league club without a license after a meeting tonight of the FAI's Club Licensing Committee.
