Former Dundalk manager Jim Gannon has been appointed Stockport County manager on a short-term contract.
Gannon confirmed that he would be new manager of the struggling Division Two side until the end of the season when his position will be reviewed.
He had initially been installed as interim manager in December, following the departure of Chris Turner.
Since that time he has steered the Edgeley Park outfit to four points out of a possible six.
Gannon quit as Dundalk manager last November following the departures of directors Sean Connolly and Tom Baldwin.
