Martin Jol is boosted by the return of England defender Ledley King and Dutch midfielder Edgar Davids for the trip to Liverpool.

Davids has been out of action with an ankle problem while King has finally recovered from the groin tear he collected during the win over Birmingham on St Stephen's Day.

Jol also reported a return to training for Teemu Tainio, Lee Young-Pyo and Andy Reid. The only player absent from his squad was Noureddine Naybet who is on international duty with Morocco in the  African Nations Cup.

Egypt striker Mido plays his last game for the club before jetting off to spend the rest of the month playing for his country in the same competition.

Fernando Morientes is expected to be back in the Liverpool squad for game after recovering from a knee injury which has kept him out of the last three matches.

Boss Rafael Benitez now only has winger Bolo Zenden now as a long term injury problem as the Dutchman recovers from knee surgery.

Goalkeeper Jose Reina, rested for the FA Cup win at Luton, is expected to return in place of Scott Carson, Jan Kromkamp should figure in a home squad for the first time while Benitez will assess the fitness of new boy Daniel Agger before making a decision on his availability.
