Former Limerick FC midfielder John McGrath has signed for English Conference South table toppers Weymouth until the end of the season.
The eircom League First Division side confirmed his departure from Hogan Park on Thursday night following the expiration of his contract.
Ex-Aston Villa and Irish U-21 international McGrath, a native of Monagea, Co Limerick, put pen to paper with Weymouth yesterday.
"I enjoyed my time with Limerick and I wish them well for the coming season but I am now looking forward to the challenges ahead with Weymouth," said McGrath.
Meanwhile, secretary Noel Hanley has parted company with The Shannonsiders.
Hanley, who has been involved with Limerick FC since the early 1990s when Sam Allardyce was manager, was told of the club’s decision on Wednesday.
Speaking to the Limerick Leader newspaper, Mr Hanley said: "I got involved to keep senior soccer alive in Limerick and I wish them well. I enjoyed my time and I will continue to be involved with Corbally Utd."
It is expected that he will be replaced by former Chairman Michael O'Sullivan.
