Portsmouth have have confirmed Alexandre Gaydamak is the club's new co-owner, ahead of a pressconference at Fratton Park.

Pompey chairman Milan Mandaric revealed on Monday that an agreement in principle had been made for Gaydamak to become an equal partner with him.

And confirmation that a deal has been finalised came with a statement on the club's website www.pompeyfc.premiumtv this morning.

The statement read: "Portsmouth is delighted to welcome Alexandre Gaydamak as the club's new co-owner.

"Alexandre, or Sacha Gaydamak, is confirmed as an equal partner, and, alongside chairman Milan Mandaric, will unveil the club's exciting plans for the future at a media conference at Fratton Park this lunchtime."
