Eircom League Premier Division new boys Dublin City have signed Mick O’Donnell, who was released by UCD earlier this month.
The 28-year-old had spent 10 years at Belfield Park with The Students, making over 200 appearances.
Dublin City boss Dermot Keely said: "Mick is a first class player with lots of experience and I know he will do well for us. He is a clever footballer, has a tremendous attitude and he's a winner."
The Vikings have already signed several players, including Ger McCarthy and Mark Rooney, as they prepare for their first season back in the big time.
