Juventus have no interest in signing German international midfielder Michael Ballack, according to the club's general director.

The 29-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has yet to decide on whether to remain with the Bavarians or move abroad.

Real Madrid have been linked with the Germany international, who has been offered a lucrative four-year deal to remain in Munich. However, Juve have joined Manchester United and Chelsea in ruling themselves out of a move.

"We are not interested in Ballack and we don't need him," said Juventus general director Luciano Moggi.

"That role is already covered as we already have Patrick Vieira and Emerson. It is true that I said the same thing about Vieira one year ago because back then he was slow, but with time he has made progress and now is worthy of being a Juve player."

However, Juve are set to sign Ballack's team-mate Willy Sagnol who is also out of contract in the summer. The French right-back is set to agree terms with Juve in January 2006.
