Bolton's El-Hadji Diouf is facing another club fine as he was shown the red card following the final whistle with his side's loss at Fulham on Sunday

Bolton Wanderers' wayward striker El-Hadji Diouf will be reaching for his chequebook once again following his dismissal in the 2-1 defeat at Fulham yesterday.

The 24-year-old Senegal international will be fined by manager Sam Allardyce for getting himself booked twice, including once after the final whistle for dissent.

Diouf is no stranger to controversy having been fined for twice spitting at fans, once while playing for Liverpool against Celtic in 2003 and then with Bolton at Middlesbrough the following year.

The player, who is also currently in the process of being prosecuted for alleged drink driving, was one of seven Bolton men booked by referee Graham Poll, who also cautioned three Fulham players.

Allardyce confirmed that only Joey O'Brien, Tal Ben Haim and substitute Jay Jay Okocha will be escaping fines as their offences had been mistimed tackles, not arguing with an official.

He said:  "Anybody that got booked for mouthing will get dealt with and fined, for that's an indiscipline that I don't like. But anybody that got booked for a tackle, I wouldn't touch them. I would encourage them to keep tackling."

Skipper Kevin Nolan, veteran Gary Speed and striker Kevin Davies are others who will be dipping into their pockets having also displayed dissent.

Diouf's first caution had been for a theatrical bouncing away of the ball after Poll had awarded Bolton a free-kick instead of using the advantage rule.
