Rafael Benitez is a much more relaxed manager as he prepares for a Champions League confrontation with Chelsea that has had the sting taken out of it.

Liverpool's 0-0 draw with Real Betis last night means they do not need to get anything from the final game in Group G at Stamford Bridge, having now qualified for the last 16.

And Benitez said: "I am a much more relaxed manager now, we have qualified and the Chelsea game does not have the same significance.

"It is an interesting situation. They have to beat us to finish top of the group, but that isn't always the most important thing.

"Sometimes winning the group gives you a very difficult second-placed side to play next. Or you can finish second and get a group winner you are happy with.

"It is not important now for me, I am only concerned that we now have time to concentrate on other things and working on our league form."
