Burley leaves Hearts on bad terms

Hearts have parted company with manager George Burley, with chairman George Foulkes citing 'irreconcilable differences' for the departure.

The former Ipswich and Derby boss had been in charge of the Bank of Scotland Premier League club for less than four months.

But the ex-Scotland international has left the club, despite guiding them to a three-point lead in the table his season.

Hearts are currently six points clear at the top of the Scottish Premier League but second-placed Celtic have a chance to close  the gap tomorrow against Kilmarnock.
