Derry City captain Peter Hutton has been named as the eircom/Soccer Writers' Association Player of the Month for September.
Hutton has enjoyed an impressive month with The Candystripes, lifting the eircom League Cup, and helping them continue their challenge for the League title.
In the process, Derry have stretched their unbeaten run to 24-games and have also booked a place in the FAI Carlsberg Cup semi-final, keeping the hopes of an incredible treble very much alive.
