Newcastle have been handed a major injury blow with the new that new £9.5million signing Albert Luque will be out of action for two months with a hamstring injury.
Newcastle boss Graeme Souness admitted at the weekend that the former Deportivo La Coruna forward might be sidelined for six weeks with the hamstring tear which ended his participation in the 1-1 home draw with Fulham.
However, the Magpies confirmed today that a scan carried out on Monday has revealed the full extent of the damage, and he could now be missing for between eight and 10 weeks.
