Students held at home by Drogheda

Declan O’Brien struck 15 minutes from time to rescue a point for Drogheda as they held UCD to a 2-2 draw at Belfield Park.

Anthony Murphy and Gary Dicker had scored for UCD either side of a Keith Fahey
free kick for Drogs but O’Brien pounced to ensure the spoils were shared at Belfield Park.

Murphy put the home side ahead with a header past stranded Drogs keeper Dan Connor on 16 minutes.

Drogs were back on level terms after 40 minutes when Fahey struck a fine free kick past UCD ‘keeper Darren Quigley from 25 yards out.

UCD regained the lead in first half injury time thanks to an inch perfect header from Dicker but O’Brien pounced on 75 to ensure the spoils were shared.
