John Terry may miss tomorrow's home clash with Sunderland

Chelsea have doubts about England defender John Terry and goalkeeper Petr Cech ahead of tomorrow's home clash with Sunderland.

Cech is suffering from a minor shoulder complaint but should be fit to play - Carlo Cudicini is on standby if he fails a fitness test.

Terry is a more serious concern for coach Jose Mourinho. The Chelsea defender was forced to miss England tow World Cup qualifiers against Wales and Northern Ireland with a knee injury that is expected to keep him out for four weeks.

Arjen Robben is fit again after playing for Holland in midweek while Mourinho may well decide to relegate struggling England midfielder Frank Lampard to the bench.

Right-back Glen Johnson is reported by the club to be suffering from a thigh strain and misses out.

Sunderland manager Mick McCarthy is set to hand debuts to Justin Hoyte and Christian Bassila.

Hoyte, who has joined the club on loan from Arsenal, and French midfielder Bassila are both expected to line up at Stamford Bridge.

Defender Danny Collins is back from an Achilles injury but the game at Stamford Bridge will come too soon for him. Kevin Kyle, George McCartney and Stephen Wright are ruled out.

Chelsea squad: Cech, Cudicini, Pidgeley, Ferreira, Gallas, Carvalho, Del Horno, Essien, Lampard, Joe Cole, Duff, Robben, Drogba, Makelele, Crespo, Wright-Phillips, Carlton Cole, Gudjohnsen, Geremi.

Sunderland squad: Davis, Murphy, Alnwick, Nosworthy, Breen, Stubbs, Caldwell, Hoyte, Arca, Robinson, Whitehead, Lawrence, Welsh, Miller, Le Tallec, Woods, Piper, Stead, Gray, Elliott.
