67 min: GOAL: France 1-0. Henry stuns Lansdowne Road with a beautiful curling shot beyond Given into the right corner of the net.

66 min: The great Zidane also goes into the book. It's a harsh decision for a fairly innocuous clash with Dunne.

64 min: Andy Reid is booked for a silly challenge on Boumsong. He becomes the third Irish player to be ruled out of the Cyprus clash through suspension.

60 min: Carr is booked for a foul on Dhorasoo. Carr redeems himself by clearing Zidane's free-kick.

53 min: A great chance for France. Zidane finds Wiltord in space on the right wing. Henry is in acres of space in the box but there is too much pace on the Lyon man's cross and the ball goes harmlessly wide.

51 min: Duff shows a glimpse of magic but his shot is blocked by Thuram and the ball falls gently into the path of Coupet.

46 min: Dunne heads over from the penalty spot.

42 min: Patrick Vieira strikes a sweet left-footed volley just wide of Given's left-hand post.

41 min: Roy Keane receives a yellow card for a late challenge on Makelele. The Manchester United midfielder will miss the trip to Cyprus next month.

37 min: Sagnol is booked for dissent. He will miss France's game against Cyprus.

34 min: Sagnol fouls Damien Duff just outside the box. Roy Keane rolls the ball to Steve Carr but the right-back's shot is deflected for a corner off Sagnol. The dead ball is easily cleared by the French defence.

24 min: Ireland back off Claude Makelele and his shot from outside the area drifts wide.

21 min: Robbie Keane wins a corner for Ireland. Nothing comes of it.

18 min: Morrison shoots narrowly over after getting on the end of a Robbie Keane flick.

16 min: Robbie Keane goes down in the box, but the referee waves away Ireland's penalty appeal. It looks a fair decision.

12 min: Andy Reid sends a left-footed free kick crashing off Coupet's upright from 20 yards after Boumsong had felled Morrison.

8 min: Clinton Morrison is booked for a sliding tackle on Lilian Thuram. He will miss the game against Cyprus next month.

7 min: Richard Dunne brings down Thierry Henry 25 yards out. Zidane curls a right-footed curler into the top-corner, which forces a fabulous save from Shay Given.
