Dublin City make a return to their spiritual home this evening when they entertain third placed Cobh Ramblers at Home Farm's grounds at Whitehall (7.30pm start).

City won the 2003 First Division title at the famous northside venue and Dermot Keely's high-riding Vikings are well placed for a title assault with 12 games to go and will play out their remaining home games at Home Farm's northside ground.

"I'm delighted to bring the club back to Whitehall," said City chief executive Ronan Seery.

"Whitehall is one of the best playing surfaces in the country and is in pristine condition. We also have many friends in Whitehall and I'm hopeful that we can turn the venue into a fortress for Dublin City and help launch the final push of the club's title bid."

He added: "I'm grateful to St Patrick's Athletic for hosting us this season but we have many supporters on the northside and the move to Whitehall will be very popular with the majority of them."
