Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven have signed full-back Michael Reiziger on a free transfer from Middlesbrough.
Reiziger has previously played for Ajax, AC Milan and Barcelona in an illustrious career, and has won 72 caps for Holland.
The 32-year-old told the club website: “I have the ambition to play at a high level.
“When PSV came in for me, we quickly came to an agreement.
“I am very happy that I could make this step. And I hope that we can equal what PSV did last season, or do even better."
Reiziger's time at Boro was blighted by injury but he is grateful they allowed him the chance to move back to Holland.
He added: “Middlesborough did co-operate in the transfer.
“Last season I had a difficult time at Middlesbrough because of a shoulder operation. This is a fresh start.”
