Galway United look for their fourth eircom League First Division win from five against Dundalk on Thursday night as they try to make up ground on the top two.
United will be without striker Eric Lavine who is suspended after his red card against the Vikings and injured duo Marcin Szyminaski and Nicky Curran.
They will, however, welcome back David O'Dowd and Colin Fortune.
Meanwhile, Dundalk are not totally out of the promotion picture and have been having more luck away from home of late.
