Two goals from Reading striker Kevin Doyle earned the Republic of Ireland Under-21s a share of the spoils against Northern Ireland.
The visitors were two goals in arrears when he forced home the rebound from his own penalty after Mark McCrystal had brought down Jay Tabb.
Doyle grabbed the equaliser on 72 minutes from another penalty after Tabb was again fouled, this time Doyle scoring directly from the penalty spot.
Derry City winger Pat McCourt, a former Rochdale player, had provided the first-half free-kick for Northern Ireland's opener as the Republic's Alan Sheehan headed into his own net.
Gretna defender Sean Webb then doubled the lead as he side-footed home from a corner on 51 minutes.
