Wigan manager Paul Jewell has revealed he is close to signing two more players after securing Wolves striker Henri Camara.

The Latics, who beat Boavista 1-0 in their final warm-up match yesterday, have agreed a £3million deal with Black Country side and will complete the signing of the Senegal star tomorrow.

Jewell also signed midfielder Damien Francis from Norwich last week and after a frustrating start to the summer in the transfer market, he claims more arrivals are imminent.

"We want to bring two more players in next week on top of the Camara signing and we've already agreed terms with one of those," said the Latics boss after the friendly, which saw Nathan Ellington score the winner with a penalty.

"Hopefully we can get that one done and dusted for Monday. I'm not prepared to say who that player is at this stage. The other one is also looking positive, so by the time we come to face Chelsea the squad should be pretty strong."
