Aidan Lynch has completed a move from UCD to First Division Dublin City in time to be part of the squad that takes on Sligo Rovers in Thursday night's top of the table clash at Richmond Park.

Lynch is an experienced eircom League campaigner and will offer his manager, Dermot Keely, an option in a number of positions. The 30 year-old can play in a defensive midfield holding position, as a central defender or at right back.

Keely earmarked Lynch's experience as vital in helping Dublin City attempt to gain promotion to the Premier Division. He said: "Aidan is a quality player and is a great addition to us. He has bundles of top flight experience under his belt and I'm sure he will be a big success here at Dublin City. "

City will be without Alan Keely for the visit of Sligo while a late decision will be made on central defender Ben Whelehan who has bruised ribs. Definitely out is Paul Shiels who misses out through suspension.
