Liverpool have agreed terms with Southampton for the transfer of striker Peter Crouch, according to Saints boss Harry Redknapp.
The Reds are believed to have agreed a fee of £7million for the former Aston Villa forward and he is expected to undergo a medical tomorrow.
Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "I just got a message a while ago that they (the Southampton board) had agreed terms with Liverpool so that is where he is now."
Crouch would become the European champions' sixth summer signing and would almost certainly take their spending past the £20million mark.
Reds boss Rafael Benitez has been chasing the player throughout the summer and it appears the club's third bid has proved acceptable to Saints, though Liverpool are yet to officially confirm the news.
Crouch caught Benitez's eye with a good display in his side's 2-0 win over Liverpool at St Mary's back in January, where he scored Southampton's second goal.
