West Ham United manager Alan Pardew has informed Northern Ireland international Steve Lomas that he can leave Upton Park. The former Manchester City midfielder joined the Hammers for £1.6million in 1997 but has been told he is surplus to requirements following their return to the Premiership at the end of last season.
Pardew revealed: "I've told Steve Lomas that he is no longer part of my long-term plans and that he is free to leave if the right club comes in for him."
Former Scotland midfielder Don Hutchison has also been released by the club. Hutchison rejoined the Hammers from Sunderland for £5million four years ago but featured little over the past two seasons due to knee problems.
