Dublin City moved within two points of leaders Sligo Rovers at the top of the First Division table following a 2-0 win over fellow promotion contenders Cobh Ramblers at St Colman's Park.
The Vikings took the lead after just three minutes when a mistake in the home defence let in Phil Gorman, who shot past stranded goalkeeper James McCarthy for a gift of an opening goal.
The visitors added to the lead two minutes before half time, when again the Ramblers rearguard were at fault, as David Freeman scored on his debut, having signed from Drogheda on loan to the season's end.
It completed a double for Dermot Keely's side over Cobh, who have now lost five of their last six home matches.
