Holders Longford Town have been drawn away to Sligo Rovers in the second round of the eircom League Cup.
Elsewhere, it will be a case of top versus bottom as Premier Division leaders Cork City will entertain First Division basement club Kilkenny City at Turner's Cross later this month.
The tie of the round is the Dublin derby meeting of last year's beaten finalists Bohemians and St Patrick's Athletic at Dalymount Park.
In the only other all-Dublin and all-Premier Division clash, UCD host Shamrock Rovers at Belfield Park in Pool D.
