Manchester City's Irish defender Richard Dunne has signed a new contract with the club and will remain at Eastlands for a least two more seasons.
Manager Stuart Pearce said: "We are delighted Richard has signed. From my own point of view it's great that I am the man in charge when he turns around and says he wants to stay at this football club. He has performed exceptionally well this year and is one of our top three there is no doubt about that."
The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international, who was a €3.9 million signing from Everton in October 2000, signed the extension to his current deal following some excellent performances this season.
