Ashley Cole is still unable to commit himself to Arsenal for next season.
Cole, whose Gunners future remains in serious doubt thanks to the 'tapping-up' incident over which he and Chelsea face Premier League charges, concedes he cannot yet promise he will be staying at Highbury this summer.
The England left-back was questioned on the matter following Arsenal's FA Cup semi-final victory over Blackburn in Cardiff.
Asked whether he intends to be at Arsenal for the 2005/06 season, he admitted: "It's just hard for me to say at the moment."
The Premier League charged Cole on March 23 with a breach of Rule K5, governing approaches by players to clubs.
Chelsea and their manager Jose Mourinho were separately charged for their alleged involvement in the saga.
Cole was reported to have met Mourinho and Blues chief executive Peter Kenyon at a hotel in London, and the case is being reviewed by an independent disciplinary commission.
The Gunners take on Barclays Premiership champions elect Chelsea on Wednesday, but Cole is refusing to allow his own situation to overshadow his preparation for the important fixture.
"Chelsea is going to be a really tough game, but for me it's just like a normal match," he told the Daily Mirror.
