Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy could be facing up to a lengthy spell on the sidelines after manager Alex Ferguson revealed he is ready to make changes up front.
The Dutch international again looked out of sorts during his side's 0-0 draw with Blackburn Rovers at the weekend and United's lack of cutting edge up front saw them slip behind Arsenal to third place in the Premiership.
The result leaves United boss Alex Ferguson with some decisions to make with a trip to Norwich coming up before an FA Cup semi-final against Newcastle.
Van Nistelrooy is seven games into his comeback from an Achilles injury but, although his place as one of United's all-time great strikers is certain, his place in the team is not with the race for second place still on.
"It will be a different team next week," said Ferguson."Louis Saha is back in training on Monday and Alan Smith needs a game, so I have some big decisions to make."
