Limerick FC have appointed former blues favourite Aidan Ryan as assistant manager to Noel O'Connor for the forthcoming season.
Ryan enjoyed a long spell as player and manager of local side Prospect and most recently was manager of one of the country's leading junior sides, St Michael’s of Tipperary.
Meanwhile, Limerick may sign 23-year-old New Zealander Darren Young, who spent last weekend with Limerick FC at their UL training base with a view towards securing a contract with the Blues for the coming season.
Young, a left sided midfielder, who has played at representative level for his native New Zealand and spent a period at English side Barnsley, had most recently spent a week on trial in Dublin with St Patrick's Athletic.
