England international defender Jonathan Woodgate is expected to be out of action for the rest of the season, it has been reported today.
Madrid sports newspaper Marca said the player will be told he needs more time to recover from a thigh muscle injury and a ruptured tendon and, with four months of the season to go, is not expected to be back before the summer.
The 25-year-old signed for Madrid from Newcastle for 13.4 million pounds (19.4 million euros) in August last year but is yet to make his debut.
