Tottenham coach Martin Jol tonight praised debutant Andy Reid after the Dubliner's first appearance for the club in a 3-1 win over Portsmouth.
The former Nottingham Forest winger capped a fine display by providing the pass for Robbie Keane to make it 3-1 in the 82nd minute.
Jol said: "I was delighted for him because he set up the third goal and that was the most important one for us."
"It was difficult match for us because after we went in front 2-1, we made a decision to go for the third goal."
