Everton midfielder James McFadden insists he has no intention of quitting Goodison for a return to Scotland.

The Scotland international has been linked with both Celtic and Rangers but he says he would rather make a name for himself in the Barclay's Premiership than play for the Old Firm.

"It's nice to be linked and to know people are still interested in you but I've not got a desire to move," he said.

"If the club come to me and say they no longer want me and have accepted an offer then that's a different story but I'm more than happy at Everton.

"I came down here to play in the Premiership and make a name for myself and I hope I can do that.

"It's the top level in the game and I want to stay here as long as I can."
