Bohemians star Stephen Ward is to go on trial with English Championship side Sunderland next week.
Bohemians' website reports that Under-19 cap Ward will begin is trial on January 5.
If successful at the side, managed by former Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy, he will join a large Irish contingent that includes Gary Breen, Richie Ryan, Sean Thornton and Stephen Elliott.
