John Flanagan has signed with eircom First Division side Athlone Town.
Flanagan was part of the Dundalk side that won the FAI Carlsberg Cup in 2002 before signing for eircom Premier League outfit Drogheda United last season, where he started 21 games and played in midfield and at right-full.
According to a press release, the 26-year-old Kelly will fill a hole in the centre of the park for Athlone.
