Bolton v Blackburn
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is set to ring the changes for the match against fellow strugglers Blackburn at the Reebok Stadium tomorrow.
Allardyce has seen his side plummet down the table after a run of five successive defeats following a bright start to the campaign.
Club captain Jay-Jay Okocha, Bruno N'Gotty and Stelios Giannakopoulos are all pushing for places in the starting line-up after the team fell to Manchester United yesterday.
Provisional Squad: Jaaskelainen, Hunt, N'Gotty, Jaidi, Ben Haim, Cesar, Giannakopoulos, Speed, Okocha, Nolan, Diouf, Davies, Pedersen, Poole, Campo, Hierro, Ferdinand, Vaz Te.
Irish international Steven Reid is a doubt for Blackburn after suffering a kick above the ankle against Newcastle. David Thompson is likely to start instead after impressing from the bench in the 2-2 draw against the Magpies.
Manager Mark Hughes is likely to persist with Jonathan Stead up front alongside Paul Dickov.
Provisional squad: Friedel, Neill, Todd, Johansson, Matteo, Reid, Ferguson, Flitcroft, Emerton, Bothroyd, Dickov, Enckelman, Amoruso, Stead, Gallagher, Pedersen, Thompson, Douglas, Gray, McEveley.
Charlton v Everton
Charlton manager Alan Curbishley has Francis Jeffers available to start against his former club at The Valley tomorrow but looks set to stick to an unchanged side for the clash with the high-riding Merseysiders.
This will mean further frustration for Jason Euell who is struggling to force his way onto an Addicks team that is unbeaten in their last four games.
Graham Stuart may figure at some stage even though he did not even make the substitutes' bench against. Centre-half Mark Fish is fit again but may still have to wait for his return.
Team (from): Kiely, Young, Fortune, El Karkouri, Hreidarsson, Murphy, Holland, Kishishev, Thomas, Bartlett, Rommedahl, Hughes, Euell, Jeffers, Konchesky, Stuart, Fish, Andersen.
Everton are counting the cost of their 2-1 home win over Manchester City.
Key midfielder Thomas Gravesen picked up an ankle injury while match-winner Marcus Bent has a bruised shin after the tackle which saw Christian Negouai red carded.
The Toffees will still be without Leon Osman as he recovers from a knee problem.
Provisional squad: Martyn, Hibbert, Weir, Stubbs, Pistone, Watson, Carsley, Gravesen, Kilbane, Cahill, Bent, Ferguson, Campbell, Wright, McFadden, Naysmith, Yobo, Naysmith, Wright.
Fulham v Birmingham
Fulham manager Chris Coleman will go into tomorrow's crucial home clash with Birmingham agonising over the fitness of striker Luis Boa Morte.
Boa Morte is still struggling with a hamstring and related foot injury and Coleman believes the clash with City at Craven Cottage may have come just too early for the forward.
However, Coleman will leave Boa Morte's selection to the last possible moment as he looks to the same squad on duty against Arsenal.
Coleman is almost certain to recall the rested Steed Malbranque and Sylvain Legwinski against the Blues.
Team from: Van der Sar, Volz, Bocanegra, Knight, Pembridge, Cole, Diop, John, Radzinski, Rehman, Pearce, Malbranque, Legwinski, McBride, Crossley, Fontaine,
Rosenior, Boa Morte.
Birmingham boss Steve Bruce will have to fill the gap caused by David Dunn's latest hamstring setback for the trip to Craven Cottage.
Dunn is facing another lengthy lay-off after limping out of the home triumph over Middlesbrough. Darren Anderton and Stephen Clemence will come into contention to deputise.
Striker Emile Heskey is also a doubt after suffering a tight hamstring although his withdraw was more of a precaution given the heavy fixture schedule ahead.
Ireland striker Clinton Morrison may operate as the lone out and out striker but he is bubbling with confidence after scoring in each of his last four starts.
Team (from): Maik Taylor, Tebily, Melchiot, Cunningham, Upson, Lazaridis, Johnson, Savage, Carter, Anderton, Clemence, Morrison, Heskey, Vaesen, Martin Taylor, Clapham, Gray.
Man City v West Brom
Joey Barton is set to earn an immediate recall as Manchester City look to bounce back from their defeat at Everton by inflicting more misery on rock-bottom West Brom at Eastlands.
Barton was left on the bench at Goodison Park, with manager Kevin Keegan believing the turmoil created by the midfielder's ill-advised cigar attack on team-mate Jamie Tandy had taken its toll.
However, with Keegan's 'Christmas tree' experiment failing to work, Barton should return in a more conventional 4-4-2 formation, probably at the expense of Jon Macken.
Christian Negouai is suspended following his dismissal for a wild tackle on Marcus Bent, but Danny Mills is available despite reaching five yellow cards for the season and will instead sit out next Tuesday's trip to Arsenal. Full-back Ben Thatcher could be back following ankle surgery.
Provisional squad: James, Waterreus, Onuoha, Mills, Distin, Sommeil, Dunne, Bosvelt, Flood, S Wright-Phillips, Barton, Sibierski, Fowler, Jordan, Macken, Anelka, B Wright-Phillips.
West Brom manager Bryan Robson is sweating on Kanu's fitness. The Nigerian missed the St Stephen's Day hiding by Liverpool with a virus and remains a doubt to join his team-mates on the trip north.
Cosmin Contra definitely misses out as he serves a one-match ban for his sending-off against the Reds, while Darren Moore is expected to remain sidelined with a knee injury.
Team (from): Hoult, Scimeca, Purse, Clement, Haas, Johnson, Greening, Gera, Earnshaw, Kanu, Hulse, Horsfield, Koumas, Gaardsoe, Albrechtsen, Robinson, Dyer, Sakiri, Kuszczak.
Middlesbrough v Norwich
Joseph-Desire Job looks set to partner Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink in attack for the visit of Nigel Worthington's struggling side. Job is likely to get his chance after Mark Viduka suffered a hamstring injury in the 2-0 defeat at Birmingham.
Boro boss Steve McClaren has few other options after suffering a catalogue of injuries which will force him to act in the January transfer window.
However, midfielder Mark Wilson and central defender-right back Andrew Davies could come into the squad.
Team (from): Schwarzer, Reiziger, Southgate, Cooper, Queudrue, Parlour, Doriva, Zenden, Downing, Job, Hasselbaink, Morrison, Nemeth, McMahon, Nash, Wilson, Davies.
Nigel Worthington will include youngsters Rossi Jarvis, Adam Smith and Danny Crow in his injury-ravaged squad for the trip to Middlesbrough.
Norwich lost Simon Charlton (dead leg), Youssef Safri (ankle) and Mattias Jonson (concussion) during the 2-0 home defeat by Tottenham.
Phil Mulryne is expected to start in midfield after replacing Safri at half-time against Spurs, while winger Paul McVeigh and full-back Adam Drury are also both likely to come back in.
Reserve goalkeeper Darren Ward (knee) is out as well, so Paul Gallacher has been recalled from his loan spell with Gillingham and will travel to Teesside.
Provisional squad: Green, Edworthy, Doherty, Fleming, Drury, McVeigh, Helveg, Mulryne, Bentley, McKenzie, Huckerby, Brennan, Shackell, Gallacher, Ryan Jarvis, Rossi Jarvis, Smith, Crow, Lewis.
Portsmouth v Chelsea
Portsmouth manager Velimir Zajec hopes to have Gary O'Neil back in contention for tomorrow's clash with Premiership leaders Chelsea.
O'Neill missed the St Stephen's Day victory at Crystal Palace with a back injury but could feature at Fratton Park.
Goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown started on the bench against Palace after suffering a slight groin strain and Shaka Hislop seems likely to keep his place in the side after turning in a magnificent display.
Portsmouth are already without Dejan Stefanovic, David Unsworth (both thigh) and Lomana LuaLua (ear infection).
Team (from): Ashdown, Griffin, Primus, de Zeeuw, Taylor, Stone, Faye, Berger, O'Neil, Cisse, Hughes, Mezague, Yakubu, Fuller, Kamara, Curtis, Quashie, Berkovic, Buxton, Hislop.
Chelsea could be without centre-half William Gallas for tomorrow's game.
Boss Jose Mourinho reported the Frenchman had suffered a knock in the victory over Aston Villa and he will be assessed today.
Ricardo Carvalho could take his place if he recovers sufficiently from a broken toe. The Portuguese defender had hoped to play against Villa but was eventually ruled out.
The Blues squad will probably be unchanged otherwise with the likes of Celestine Babayaro, Robert Huth and Scott Parker still out injured.
Team (from): Cech, Makelele, Lampard, Duff, Gallas, Robben, Bridge, Ferreira, Gudjohnsen, Terry, Tiago, Cudicini, Johnson, Smertin, Kezman, Drogba.
Tottenham v Crystal Palace
Tottenham have a concern over defender Thimothee Atouba as they prepare for the visit of Crystal Palace.
The Cameroon international had to be replaced during the second half of the 2-0 win at Norwich with a foot problem.
However, Anthony Gardner and Reto Ziegler are available but, midfield pair Simon Davies (virus) and Sean Davis (knee) are still around a fortnight away from making their first-team return.
Provisional squad: Robinson, Fulop, Pamarot, King, Naybet, Gardner, Davenport, Edman, Atouba, Ziegler, Carrick, Brown, Redknapp, Pedro Mendes, Ricketts, Defoe, Keane, Kanoute, Yeates.
Finnish international Joonas Kolkka is Iain Dowie's main injury concern. The striker was clattered in the ribs during the defeat to Portsmouth at Selhurst Park.
Emmerson Boyce was rested for the Pompey game and Danny Butterfield took his chance well, leaving Dowie with a nice selection dilemna at right back.
Team (from): Kiraly, Speroni, Boyce, Hall, Popovic, Granville, Leigertwood, Sorondo, Routledge, Powell, Torghelle, Riihilahti, Andrews, Watson, Hughes, Kolkka, Lakis, Johnson, Freedman, Kaviedes.
Liverpool v Southampton
Liverpool expect to have Harry Kewell and Neil Mellor back in the squad for tomorrow's clash with troubled Southampton at Anfield.
The pair missed the 5-0 win at West Brom with a groin strain and tonsilitis respectively, while both Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia were initially on the bench. The Spanish pair are also likely to start the match as boss Rafael Benitez maintains his rotation of midfield players.
Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland could also return to the squad now he is in full training again following a back problem.
Provisional squad: Dudek, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Riise, Traore, Luis Garcia, Xabi Alonso, Gerrard, Hamann, Kewell, Nunez, Mellor, Baros, Sinama-Pongolle, Kirkland, Harrison, Diao, Warnock.
Should Southampton boss Harry Redknapp decide not to play James Beattie at Anfield it will almost certainly mean that the England striker has played his last game for the Candystripes.
Meanwhile, another striker, Peter Crouch, could be axed to give Southampton more strength in midfield with Anders Svensson taking his place.
Matt Oakley is set to start again in his second match since a knee operation 16 months ago. Jason Dodd and Mikael Nilsson are struggling for fitness and youngster Martin Cranie may figure again at right back.
Team (from): Niemi, Dodd, Nilsson, Cranie, Lundekvam, Jakobsson, Higginbotham, Fernandes, Delap, Oakley, Prutton, A Svensson, Phillips, Beattie, Telfer, Ormerod, Griffit, Blackstock, Tessem, Smith.
Aston Villa v Man Utd
Aston Villa have suffered a fresh injury blow with the loss of full-back Mark Delaney.
Wales international Delaney sustained a groin strain in yesterday's 1-0 loss to Chelsea and could be out for a number of weeks.
His absence adds to Villa's defensive problems with Martin Laursen and Jlloyd Samuel already out.
Youngster Liam Ridgewell is set to continue at centre-half after a solid full debut at Stamford Bridge. Mathieu Berson could retain his place in midfield in the absence of Gavin McCann.
Striker Carlton Cole is eligible to return after the terms of his loan deal prevented him playing against parent club Chelsea.
Team (from): Sorensen, Mellberg, Barry, Hendrie, Angel, de la Cruz, Berson, Whittingham, Ridgewell, Davis, Postma, Solano, Drobny, L Moore, S Moore, Cole.
Alex Ferguson has ruled Gary Neville and Eric Djemba-Djemba out of the trip to Villa Park.
Neither player has shaken off the flu bug that saw them sent home prior to yesterday's home win over Bolton, leaving Ferguson to select from the same squad that recorded a sixth win in seven Premiership outings.
Changes to the starting line-up are likely though, with Paul Scholes set to return following his substitute appearance, probably at the expense of either Darren Fletcher or Cristiano Ronaldo.
Squad: Carroll, Howard, O'Shea, Heinze, P Neville, Ferdinand, Silvestre, Bellion, Keane, Ronaldo, Scholes, Fletcher, Miller, Giggs, Rooney, Smith, Richardson.
