Barcelona produced a sparkling display of fluent, attacking football to outclass arch-rivals Real Madrid on their way to an emphatic 3-0 win at the Nou Camp that rubber-stamped their title credentials.

Samuel Eto'o broke the deadlock on the half-hour make when he made the most of a mix-up between defender Roberto Carlos and keeper Iker Casillas to net his 10th goal of the season.

Former Arsenal midfielder Giovanni van Bronckhorst then doubled the Barca lead just before the break when he drilled home at the far post to finish off a dizzying passing move involving Ronaldinho and Deco.

Ronaldinho wrapped up a brilliant win when he fired home from the penalty spot after Guti had wrestled Eto'o to the ground when the African Player of the Year scorched his way into the area 15 minutes from time.

The win allowed Frank Rijkaard's side to open a seven-point lead over Real at the top of the table after 12 games of the season.
