Waterford United will be hoping to avenge their FAI Carlsberg Cup final defeat to Longford when they meet in the eircom League Premier Division tonight.

At least a point at Flancare Park will ensure United finish above Longford in the table.

"We don’t want the season to end disappointingly and beating Longford will give us a boost and guarantee us a top half finish," said the Blues' striker Daryl Murphy.

Waterford are without banned pair Pat Purcell and Wayne Fitzgerald.

Town are hit by suspensions to Dessie Baker and Alan Murphy.
